Add line or field for Tips/Gratuity
The scan receipt works great for restaurant receipts, but it only captures the printed values and forces me to edit in order to add the tip. Can you add a tip line item. Would be nice to see in reports later too.

You can also write off tips to cabbies, valets, maids and other non-meal related people as travel expenses. Keeping track of these values is important.

Make the "Total" field calculated as the sum of "Purchase", "Tax", and "Tip" -- rather than direct entry.

Hi @Hung Nguyen - thanks for asking. It would be ideal if the platform allowed both functionalities, allowing the user to toggle the setting according to their preference.
If that's not possible, I would prefer the ability to track the tip amount separately for budgetary forecasting purposes, and since it is a discretionary charge, would like to see how many times a person tips more or less than a certain percentage of the total.

My employer requires I split off alcohol as a separate line item as well. They reimburse it either way, but they may or may not be able to bill it to the customer (ex: never if the travel is for a gov contact).
Total, tax, tip, and then custom subtotals is probably the way to go. Especially if the OCR let me click on the receipt photo to classify line items in the receipt as one thing or another.

Agreed on the Tip line item.
I would go further, and make the Total field calculated as the sum of Purchase, Tax, and Tip -- rather than direct entry.
So, I would suggest a Purchase line item, too.
