Hi Antonia, if you tap an existing expense from the "Transaction" tab, there's a refund button you can press.
However, if you want it to be a separate expense to show the credit explicitly, you can create an expense with a value of zero ("Transactions" tab > "Add New Expense" > "Add New Expense"). After saving, use the refund button to add a credit/refund.
