Line Item Categorization (itemize receipt)
Be able to take a receipt like Wal Mart, whose purchases can fall into multiple categories like grocery and pet, and assign categories to each line item.
The current workaround is to use the “Split” button to split the expense into multiple expenses and select their categories accordingly.
Ideally:
1. Function to apply a different category to each line item on a receipt, while keeping them linked together
1. Strongly mention when a scanned receipt potentially has multiple categories, allowing user to split if needed
2. Note if that item is taxable and at what percent. Make it so we can also track how much we spend on tax. The receipt total might reflect a combination of taxable and non taxable items.
3. Select line items to total the expense (i.e., only extract business line items)

This may require a separate request but is related:
Duplicates of realtime split txns aren't being detected by the app once banks report the parent txns. This forces the user to either manually delete the bank-reported txns after adding them and finding their duplicates, or wait until the bank reports the txns.
A fix that would also help with some other item categorization issues, and would be ideal in my mind:
tying split txns to their parent txns, and hv the app only compare bank-reported txns with parent txns
A possibly easier thing to do (and may be a good temp workaround) might be to:
hv a way to manually link real-time split txns with their bank-reported parent txns, rather than forcing to delete the bank-reported txns.

As an interim step, being able to show that transactions containing items from multiple categories are subsets of a single transaction rather than showing these as separate amounts.
.
...Something that links them together to more easily ser the receipt containing the overall txn amount, and in its line summary maybe have a subtle visual reference (ie. Showing the amt of the actual txn in smaller text with a nearby symbol denoting that it's the master txn)

If possible, please add this feature. I have thousands of receipts that I'm finally able to scan but the items in each receipt fall into multiple categories. Currently, the only way I can keep track of them is to choose a category and itemize the receipts in the notes. Thanks in advance

Allow the user to drill deep into expenses when the user clicks the total expense on a receipt.
The action then shows the line item (description) and the cost of each item.

YNAB (You need a budget) has the multiple category function under a transaction. Easy Expense needs this function as it VERY COMMON to have multiple categories on a receipt. I'm surprised Easy Expense doesn't have this already built in.
